Willie's Obituary BROWNSVILLE - Mrs. Willie Alice Carter age 82 of Gates, TN, passed away Thursday May 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born August 23, 1932, in Haywood County to the late William Ashley and Lattie B. McFinnie Daniels. Mrs. Carter retired from Pictsweet and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Gates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Carter; daughter, Janie Louise Carter and a brother William Alton "Sonny" Daniel. She is survived by one son, Harold Carter and wife Darlene of Brownsville; three sisters, Jackie Geary of Halls, Reba Dunger and husband Amos, Sr. of Ripley and Hazel Nails of Covington. Other survivors include six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Carter will be conducted on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes, Brownsville Chapel with Bro. Herschel Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Crockett Mills. The Carter family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Brownsville Chapel.
