William Raymond Wallace "Bill," 60, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Friday night, April 4, 2014, while at Presbyterian Hospital with his daughter, Cindy by his side.
Bill was born in Brownsville, Tennessee and attended Haywood High School and Columbia Military Academy from 1968-1971. He then went into the US Army. Bill was stationed in Korea, where he met, fell in love, and married Chong Wallace "CJ" in 1978. After returning to the United States in 1980, they were stationed at Ft. Campbell before moving to Charlotte in 1982.
Bill was a devoted husband and caring, loving father and a big Tennessee Volunteers fan. Bill bled orange! Bill lost his wife to cancer in April 2009 and struggled with cancer the last 10 months of his life.
In addition to his daughter, Cindy, Bill is survived by his two brothers, John and James Wallace.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:30PM until 7:30 with services following at Mill Grove United Methodist Church. Additional visitation and funeral services will continue in Brownsville, TN.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions be made to COPS 4 the CURE (COPS4theCURE.com).
