William E.'s Obituary William E. "Billy" Cobb, age 81 died Sept. 29, 2011. He was born in Haywood County, TN on June 13, 1930. He was the son of the late Bill and Helen Cobb of Bells, TN. He was also preceded in death by a daughter; Callie Patricia Cobb. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pauline Thornton Cobb. Two sons, Mike Cobb, of Bells, Owen Cobb and wife Kem of Jackson, TN and a daughter, Robin Gipson and husband Tim of Franklin, TN. Nine grandchildren, Juliana Cobb, Tyler Cobb, Rachel Cobb, Caleb Cobb and Abigail Cobb of Nancy, KY. Cameron Humble and Andrew Cobb of Jackson, TN. Zach Gipson and Garrett Gipson of Franklin, TN He is survived by one sister, Joan Climer and husband Hinton of Bells, TN and two brothers, Danny Cobb and wife Judy, of Newbern, TN. and Roger Cobb of Bells, TN. Billy is a graduate of Bells High School and attended Memphis State University. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict in several areas of the country including Alaska and Washington D.C, where he met his wife. He owned and operated Bells Hardware Company for 29 years. He was a partner of The Bells Nursing Home and its affiliates. He was a past commander of the Bells American Legion Post. A Lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed golf and once scored a hole-in-one. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bells, TN serving in many capacities. He served his Lord by going on 49 mission trips. Twelve of those trips were to foreign countries. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
