Will's Obituary
Mr. Will Franklin Potts, Jr. age 68 of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in Tennova Regional Hospital in Jackson.
He was born August 23, 1948 in Sheffield, Alabama to the late Will Franklin Potts, Sr. and Willie Mae Bange Potts. Mr. Potts retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority, proudly served our country in the United States Army and was a member of Shaw’s Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Megan Potts; brother, Pinkie Potts as well as two sisters, Diane McGaughy and Glenda Borden.
Survivors include Will’s loving companion and best friend, Paula Antwine of Brownsville; two sons, Kent Howell of Brownsville and Tracy Antwine and wife Stephanie of Jackson; two daughters, Bethany Outlaw and husband Mark of Bells and Miranda Morris and husband Brian of Brownsville; sister, Margie Martino Oliver of Alabama. Other survivors include twelve grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are, Tyler Howell, Brent Howell, Miles Kirby, Matt Outlaw, Peyton Antwine, Preston Antwine, Caleb Morris, Weldon Smith, Wesley Lawson and Brian Morris.
Funeral services for Mr. Will Potts will be conducted Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Shaw’s Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. John Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Potts family will receive friends at Shaw’s Chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
