Walter L. "Sonny" Bishop

Walter L. “Sonny” Bishop, age 83, left this earthly world of pain and sorrow and went home to be with Jesus in the early morning hours of Friday, August 21, 2020. “He fought the good fight”. Sonny leaves behind his wife, Sandi, of Jackson, TN; his son, Greg (Tammy) of Savannah, TN; sister-in-law, Debby Rose (Dee) of Henning, TN, and first cousins, Pat Hale (Jim), Linda Everson (Tillman), Curt Spencer (Kathy), Jerry Escue, (Dorothy), Charlie White (Korda), Cynthia Hunt, (Joe), his “coffee drinking buddies” and friends, too many to count. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bishop; his mother, Ruby Escue Bishop; his sister, Barbara Bishop and his first cousin, Jimmy White. The family has chosen a private burial and will schedule a Memorial Celebration at a later date when family and friends can safely gather together to celebrate a life well-lived by a wonderful Christian husband, father, son, brother, cousin and friend. Sonny’s family wants to thank everyone for their love, kind words and prayers during this difficult time.
