Virginia Fletcher

Mrs. Virginia Bumpus Fletcher, age 90 passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the Maplewood Healthcare Center in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. A visitation for the Fletcher family will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Fletcher graduated from Lambuth University and taught in public schools throughout Mississippi and West Tennessee. She attended Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson. Mrs. Fletcher is preceded in death by her husband: Walter Frank Fletcher, Jr., and her parents: Roger L. and Johnnie Riales Bumpus. She is survived by three sons: Frank Fletcher, III, Camden, TN, Roger L. Fletcher (Melissa) Medina, TN, John R. Fletcher, Jackson, TN, five grandchildren: Ginny Fletcher, Martha Gurley, Andy Fletcher, Lee Fletcher, Micah Fletcher and six great-grandchildren.
