Virginia's Obituary Virginia D. Emison, age 86, of Bells, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Bells Nursing Home in Bells, Tennessee. Mrs. Emison was a lifelong member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church where she sang alto in the church choir along with special duets. She baked special occasion cakes for the public, a cafeteria worker at Bells High School for many years, an avid gardener, and an excellent homemaker. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Monday, June 16, 2014, and 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Bells, Tennessee. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiated by Bro. David Brown and Bro. Carl Teel. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Steve (Sherri) Emison of Bells, TN; two daughters, Karen Emison of Bells, TN and Amanda Emison of Bells, TN; one sister, Nell Skelton of Southaven, MS; three grandchildren, Cheryl Emison, Richard Emison and Dennis Emison; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jayden, Janna, Karly, and Katie Emison. She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Emison; her parents, Wilton Thomas Davis, Sr. and Ruth Durham Davis; and several brothers and sisters. The family has requested that memorial be directed to Walnut Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 1222 Walnut Hill Road, Bells, Tennessee, 38006, or the organization of the donor's choice.
