Ruth Virginia Curtis, age 77, passed away in Regional Hospital of Jackson, January 8, 2012. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Stanton Cemetery. A visitation for the Curtis family will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 5 to 8 PM in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Curtis was preceded in death by her parents: Marshall Walter Jones and Linnie Ruth McBride Jones, her husband; Vonell Curtis, a son: Michael Eugain Curtis, three daughters: Rebecca Jane Mansfield, Cynthia Ruth Curtis, Jennifer Lynn Curtis and three brothers: William Woodrow Jones, John Walter Jones, Bobby Joe Jones. She is survived by her son: Donny Curtis (Kim) Bells, TN, a son in law; Phil Mansfield, two brothers: Franklin Jones, White Oak, NC, Gene Jones, Brownsville, TN, three sisters: Betty Sue Baggett, Clara Hooper both of Brownsville, TN, Barbara Ann Hughes, Boonville, MO, four grandchildren: Tommy Curtis, Ginger Ward, Brooke Curtis, John Curtis Mansfield and five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brownsville Baptist Church Women's Ministry, 5 N. Wilson Ave., Brownsville, Tennessee 38012.
