Vincent Provenzano Jr. (Blue) age 58, Formerly of Bristol, CT, husband of Diane Mary (Hughes-Sullivan) passed peacefully at home in Brownsville, Tennessee on Sunday January 19, 2014. His wife--and longest term friend, by his side. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents Vincent Sr. and Alice Provenzano of Bristol,CT. His fifteen siblings, their spouses and partners. His sisters Laura (Vet) Mason of Syracuse NY, Carole (Wayne) Hatfield of Newington,CT and Helene (Kevin) Murphy of Raleigh NC. Brothers John (Dorothy) Provenzano of Torrington, CT, Jerome Provenzano (Mindy Demerest) of Plainville, CT. From Bristol, CT, sisters Mary (Michael) Finello, and Alice (Dale) Deschaines, Giovanna (Charlie) Wrisley, Jessica (Jason) Dumont, Veronica (Rod) Gomez. Also from Bristol, brothers Frank (Sally) Provenzano, Daniel Provenzano, Chuck (Sue) Provenzano, Thomas Provenzano and Paul (Maryann) Provenzano. Vincent was pre-deceased by his infant brother Matthew. He leaves many nieces and nephews.
A restaurant chef for his working life, he served great food and good stories to many from coast to coast. He settled in the Brownsville area in 1996. Prior to that he lived in and worked his trade in several cities in California and Texas.
A graduate of St. Paul High School he gained the education of a lifetime criss-crossing this country on foot twice by the time he was 23.
His immediate family will be eternally grateful for the love, care and embrace of his Tennessee family and friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in the St. John's Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
