Velma's Obituary Mrs. Velma Joyce Pugh age 62 of Alamo passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 1, 1955 in Tipton County to Helen Laverne Jones Pierce and the late James Earl Allen. Survivors include her mother, Helen Pierce of Covington; three daughters, Melanie Moorehead of Bolivar, Lisa Phillips of Ripley and Lana Ralph of Covington and one brother, Jimmy Allen of Covington. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial Potluck for Mrs. Pugh will be on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Garland Community Center in Brulison.
