Tracy “Pooch” Cottner, Jr., age 63, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a courageous battle against liver cancer. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Bro. James Keeton officiating. Burial to follow at the Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Bells Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at 1:00 P.M.
Pooch was born on August 1, 1961, to the late Tracy Cottner Sr. and the late Vera Swindle King. He worked as an auto-body professional for many years. He loved old cars and enjoyed watching YouTube videos of mechanics and fixing vehicles. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of over 33 years: Brenda Kay Perry Cottner of Alamo, TN; daughter: Misty Cates (Jeremy) of Brighton, TN; one brother: Aerin Cottner of AZ; one sister: Lisa Riddle (Eric) of OK; He leaves behind a host of friends and leaves a legacy of three grandchildren: Katelyn Jones, Zachary Cates and Matthew Cates; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers are Jeremy Cates, Zachary Cates, Matthew Cates, Marty Jones, Kane Jones and Abel Jones; Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Perry and Juan Romero.
