Tim McCoy Allen, Sr., age 88, born on July 5, 1936, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at Haywood Post Acute in Brownsville, Tennessee. In honor of Tim's life, a Memorial Gathering will take place at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN, on April 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

He lived a life dedicated to both his craft and his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and resilience. Tim’s career as a mechanic was marked by his exceptional ability to work on various types of machinery. Colleagues and friends knew him as the person who could always fix things, a testament to his mechanical skills and resourcefulness. A lover of the great outdoors, Tim found joy in deer hunting and fishing, relishing the adventures of nature. He cherished these moments spent in the tranquility of the wilderness.

Tim is survived by his beloved family, including his sons, Ronnie Allen, Tim Allen, Jr., and Monroe Allen (Kristin); his daughter in law Sherry Allen, his stepchildren, Bobby Kirk (Cindy), Paula Heese (Bruce), and Teresa Howell (Donnie), as well as Debra Pattat (Louis). He also leaves behind his brother Earl Allen and sister Annie Louise Reed. Tim was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Steve Allen, Jr., Kim Allen, Rachel McCarver, Katie McElroy, Colton Allen, Hayden Allen, and Abigail Allen, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Tim was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Pendergrast and his second wife, Nellie Maye Allen, as well as his parents, Floice C. Allen and Nettie Reeves Allen. He is also reunited with his sons, Steve Allen, Sr. and Richard Allen, and brothers, William F. Allen, Roy Allen, and Richard Allen, and daughter-in-law, Annette Allen.

Tim loved life, the outdoors and his family, who will forever remember him for years to come. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
