Thomas A. Snipes

Thomas A. “Tommy” Snipes, age 61, left this world unexpectedly on, Sunday, January 26, 2025, in El Paso, TX. A graveside service to honor Tommy will be held on, Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Chris Garner officiating. Burial will follow the service. 

Tommy dedicated much of his life to his passion for trucking, a career that allowed him to traverse the open roads while connecting with countless individuals along the way. He loved to talk and share stories, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was a man defined by his loyalty and big heart, giving freely of himself to those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Helen Rosson Snipes; two sons, James Snipes and Steven Will; one brother, Timmy Snipes; three loving sisters, Tonie M. Perry (David), Terri Brigance (J.C.), and Tina Anthony (Raymond); and three cherished grandchildren, Luke, Waylon, and Elaina Snipes. Thomas also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, who will undoubtedly carry forward the warmth of his spirit.

Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Snipes.

Pallbearers for the service will be D.J. Firmin, Gabe Willard, David Perry, Joe McCandless, and Raymond Anthony.

Tommy will be deeply missed, yet his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.  The family request that memorials be made to www.truckersfinalmile.org   All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
