"Mr. John"'s Obituary Mr. John Thomas Smith, Jr., "Mr. John", age 78, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at his home in Brownsville, TN. He was born in Helena, Arkansas, on July 2, 1934, the son of the late John Thomas Smith Sr. and Mary Catherine Watkins Smith. He was also preceded in death by a brother: James Harvey Smith; and a granddaughter: Ashley Rose Redmond. Mr. John was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Brownsville, TN. He was a long time manager at Motor Parts and Bearings in Brownsville, TN and he also worked at Save A Lot as a cashier for several years. Funeral services will be conducted at St. John's Catholic Church, Brownsville, TN, under the direction of the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Monsignor Thomas Kirk officiating. Visitation will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Agnes Saia Smith, Brownsville, TN; three sons: Paul B. Smith, (Kathleen), Santa Clara, CA, Thomas G. Smith, and Patrick D. Smith, (Sherry), all of Brownsville, TN; a daughter: Katherine M. Smith Mathis, (Allen), of Bells, TN; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Read More Read Less
