Thomas Pittman, 65, of Eurekaton, TN passed from this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Graveside services will held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Whiteville, TN with Bro. Alan McCall officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Gloria Kelley Pittman; one son, Ed Pittman (Brittany) of Brownsville; one daughter, Tina Benard (Charlie) of Eurekaton; three grandchildren, Carson Pittman and Luke Pittman of Brownsville, and Haley Benard of Eurekaton; two brothers, James Pittman (Nita) of Cedar Chapel and Joseph Watson, Jr. (Suzie) of Hillville; five sisters, Lisa Edmonds (Ronnie) of Hillville, Jomarie Baggett (Bobby) of Dancyville, Angela Martin (Gary) of Dancyville, Debra Phillips (Joey) of Eurekaton, and Carolyn Dowdy (Ed) of Eurekaton; one sister-in-law, Linda Pittman of Eurekaton and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Revie Pittman Watson; his father, Joseph Watson and one brother, Billy Wayne Pittman.
He was employed at Rawhide Feeds in Whiteville, TN for the past 15 years and treasured the friendships he had with his coworkers and customers. “Big Tom” enjoyed Sunday lunches with his family, visiting with friends, spoiling his grandchildren, and in his younger years, riding horses.
Pallbearers will be David Benard, Daniel Bruce, Lee Bruce, Dooley Kelley, Thomas Kelley, Thomas Metzger, Barry Pittman, and Phillip Pittman.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
