Terry's Obituary Mr. Terry Lee Bruce of the Hillville community died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1953 to Jasper R. and Dorothy Whorton Bruce. He lived his complete life in the Hillville community. He was an equipment operator for APAC construction for 42 years before his retirement. He loved the outdoors and his family very much. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marilyn Kelley Bruce; two sons Edward Lee Bruce (Audra) of Bolivar and Daniel Bruce (Megan) of Whiteville. Four grandchildren: Jacob, Zach, Emma and Waylan Bruce. Four brothers: Bob Bruce (Carolyn) Annandale, VA; John Bruce (Penny) Milton, TN; Donald Bruce (Debbie) and Ronald Bruce (Elaine) both of Whiteville, TN. Two sisters: Patsy Jordan, Middleton, TN and Betty Staggs (Kenneth) of Whiteville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Monroe Jordan. Funeral services were Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Mt Pleasant Methodist Church in Hillville with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family were from 11:00 am -1:00 pm at the church. Pallbearers were Randy Goodman, Gerald Lewis, Thomas “Dooley” Kelley, Pete Kelley, Bruce Staggs, and Shannon Peterson. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Watson, David Austin and Ed Dowdy.
