Teresa Rene "Tia" Oswald

Teresa Rene “Tia” Oswald, age 60, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. An Outdoor Memorial Service for Tia will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM on her property at 400 Inkana Way, in Eads, TN 38028. Tia was born in Memphis, TN on January 8, 1961 to Dr. William Joseph Oswald and Barbara Jean Tilton Oswald. She grew up in Germantown, TN. She excelled at the piano and loved her dogs very much. She won multiple ribbons showing her beloved pets through the years. She had previously worked for FedEx in Memphis, TN. She is survived by two brothers, Karl Oswald (Karen) of Heber Springs, AR and Mark Oswald (Connie) of Pax, WV; four sisters, Becky McKissack (Jim) of Denmark, TN, Lisa Dennis of Brownsville, TN, Katherine “Taffy” Teeter (Barry) of Southaven, MS, and Michelle Freeman of Memphis, TN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William and Barbara Oswald and one sister, Kay Oswald McConnell. Tia had a great love for the “Red Hat Society”, and if anyone is so inclined, you are encouraged to honor her by wearing a Red Hat to her Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 Washington Ave., Memphis, TN 38103 or to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation at www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org.
