Teddie's Obituary Brownsville, TN – Mrs. Teddie Marie Staggs Kiewiet, age 78, of Horn Lake, MS passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 16, 1938 in Brownsville, TN to the late Commodore Perry Staggs and Nyarcie Mae Young Staggs. She worked for many years as a self employed caregiver and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Kiewiet, one son James Wesley Stowe, one brother Billy Wayne Staggs and one sister Martha Jean Staggs. Mrs. Kiewiet is survived by two sons: Gary Andrew Stowe and his wife Joyce of Everett, WA and Wayne Thomas Stowe and his wife Daisy Katherine of Horn Lake, MS; one daughter: Sandra Dale Brown and her husband Rodney of Wichita, KS; two brothers: Kenneth Staggs and his wife Betty and Robert Price and his wife Deborah all of Hillville, TN; two sisters: Joyce Young of Burlison, TN and Sheryl Jane Price of MS. Mrs. Kiewiet leaves a legacy of 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Teddie Kiewiet will be conducted on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. James Keeton officiating. Brownsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Kiewiet family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
