Susan's Obituary Mrs. Susan Darlene Thomas Byrum age 60 of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born November 29, 1957 in Jackson to the late Johnny O’Neal Thomas and Geneva Bernice Keistler Thomas. Mrs. Byrum, a homemaker, loved to cook and being outdoors. Most importantly, she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Janie Bray and two brothers, Randall Thomas and Kenneth Thomas. Survivors include her husband of twenty-nine years, Terry E. Byrum; two daughters, Darlene Ricketts (Tim) and Summer Byrum (Michael); son, Anthony Dunaway (Avery); brother, Jimmy Bear Thomas; half-sister, Carie Rebecca Thomas. Other survivors include twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Byrum will be conducted Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home with Bro. James Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Chester County. The Byrum family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
