Steven Lynn “Fat Rat” Milam, age 56 passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 in the Methodist North Hospital, Memphis, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2018 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Leo Milam and Mary Katherine Smith Milam. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Milam, Memphis, TN, his son, Christopher Steven Milam, Memphis, TN, his sister, LeAnn Moore (Mark), Stanton, TN, one niece, Alexis Moore, one nephew, Wyatt Moore and his stepmother, Barbara Milam, Brownsville, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2170 Business Center Drive, Memphis, TN 38134 or American Diabetes Association, 5583 Murray Rd, Suite 110, Memphis, TN 38119.  “Fat Rat” had a big heart and always would lend a helping hand. He always told his family before hanging up the phone, leaving or saying goodbye, that he loved them.
