Skyler's Obituary Skyler Keith Martin age 11 of Alamo, formerly of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. He was born February 3, 2005 in Jackson to Jessica Martin and Rob Stewart. Skyler was a sixth grader at Alamo Middle School were he was proud to be #62 on the football team. Preceding him in death was a grandfather, William Roscoe Martin, great- grandmother, Dorothy Campbell and a cousin, Serria Jean Martin. Skyler is survived by his mother, Jessica Martin of Alamo; father and stepmother, Rob and Vanessa Stewart of Memphis; brother, Chad Sills of Memphis; sisters, McKenzie Crutchfield of Alamo, Alizeh Moon and Caitlynn Stewart of Memphis; grandparents, Jay Featherstone of Stanton, Joy Featherstone of Stanton and Rita Benson of Brownsville; great-grandparents, Margie and Jim Cheney of Stanton, Jerry and Judy Featherstone of Stanton, Dorothy and William Bert Martin of Whiteville and John Campbell of Brownsville; aunt, Krystal Featherstone (Bobby); uncles, Jason Featherstone of Stanton, Johnny Martin (Kerri) of Brownsville and Joseph Martin (Jessica) of Alamo; God parents, Jessica and Chad Lambert. Other survivors include cousins, Addison, Knox, Carter, Seth, Shawn, Ethan, Owen, Kira, Ava and Jordan. Serving as pallbearers are Rob Stewart, Jason Featherstone, Jay Featherstone, Joe Martin, Johnny Martin and Chad Lambert. Funeral services for Skyler Keith Martin will be conducted Monday, October 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Smarts officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Skyler’s family will receive friends on Monday at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
