Scott's Obituary Scott R. Andreas, age 74, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, at his home located in Brownsville, Tennessee. Mr. Andreas was a retired Lt. Commander of the United States Navy with over 20 years service and retired Dean of Students with the Southern College of Optometry with over 30 years tenure. He was a member of the Bluff City Canoe Club, Hightailers Bicycle Club of Memphis, TN and the "Sprocket Guy" columnist for the League of American Wheelmen. Mr. Andreas was also a member of the Faith Christian Church, a distinguished member of the church choir and an accomplished musician that performed for several areas churches. Military honor graveside service will be held at Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, August 9th at 10:00 AM. A memorial service will be held at Faith Church, meeting at Lindenwood Christian Church chapel at 11:30 AM. He is survived by his wife, Sara Covington Andreas of Brownsville, TN; one son, Craig (Sonia) Andreas of Memphis, TN; and one daughter, Carla (Bob) Thompson of Brownsville, TN; three brothers, Kent Andreas of Houston, TX, Mark (Patty) Andreas of Atlanta, GA and Vance (Linda) Andreas of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren and his loving canine companion, Sebastian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Donald H. Andreas and Mrs. Sara Racey Andreas.
