Sarah Elizabeth Morton

Sarah's Obituary Mrs. Elizabeth Mitchell Morton, age90, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at the Bells Nursing Home, Bells, TN. Mrs. Morton was born on March 9, 1919. She was preceded in death by her Parents: John Mitchell and Creedie Mai Boling Mitchell; and a brother: Booker Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Aubrey Morton. They were married in 1942 and made their home in Crockett Mills, TN. Mrs. Morton was a teacher. She taught at Nance school, Midway school and Hamlett Robertson school in Crockett Mills for 39 years. Her students were her children. Mrs. Morton was a member of Bells Methodist Church as a young lady and was a member of Crockett Mills Christian Church for over 50 years. She is survived by a brother: Monroe Colvett of Milton, Deleware; nieces: Cindy Harper, Alamo, TN and Martha Naylor, Henderson, TN; a nephew: Butch Shearin, Jackson, TN; great nephews: Chris Harper, Joel Harper, and Joe Shearin; great nieces: Mica Naylor, Jana Mills, Elizabeth Davis, Sarah Harper, and Lindsey Grace Freeman. Funeral services for Mrs. Morton will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Bells Funeral Home, Bells, TN with Mr. Larry Harper officiating.
