Sarah "Sally' Lucille Thornton Cavin, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. Born August 8, 1932, in Haywood County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Nicholas Perkins Thornton, Jr. and the late Pattie Laura Fletcher Thornton. Mrs. Cavin was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, F G (Moe) Cavin, Jr. She is survived by her children.Virginia Marie Cavin, Sarah Frances Cavin McDonald and husband Chad, John Thomas Cavin and wife Sherrie, Carol Thornton Cavin-Dillon and husband David; Brother, Robert Earl Thornton and wife Betsy, Sisters, Pattie Marie Crafton and Ginger Thornton Hathcock, grandchildren, Mark G. Snyder, Grant L. Snyder; Barrett C. McDonald, Sarah R. McDonald, Nicholas A. Cavin, Catherine G. Cavin, Caroline R. Cavin; John Tate Dillon and Martha C. Dillon. Visitation was held at Brentwood United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 16th from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Haywood County, Tennessee, on Thursday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m., with interment following at Tabernacle Cemetery.
