Sandra Call Morris-Welty, 73, of Houston, TX. (formerly of Brownsville & Dyersburg), passed away on November 7, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.
Memorial service will be held at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home at Brownsville, TN. on December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Sandra was born in Anniston, AL. to Rev. Willard T. and Doris S. Call on August 8, 1945. She graduated from Haywood High School in 1963 and completed two years at Dyersburg State Community College. She retired after working many years in the grain industry. She moved to Houston, TX. in 2004 to be closer to her daughter, Adrianne. She was a beloved Christian, Mom, sister, aunt and friend to many. A lifelong member of the Methodist church, she put God first and devoted her time volunteering at church, mission trips, sewing & embroidery club, making baby blankets for homeless shelters, meals on wheels, and reading. She lived a selfless life of giving.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Adrianne Morris-McGuire (spouse Dan), five brothers John Call (spouse Gail) of Ward, AR., Forrest Call (Spouse Jane) of Brownsville, TN., Robert Call of Brownsville, TN., Tommy Call (spouse Oweeta) of Moscow, TN., David Call (spouse Liz) of Covington, TN., 17 nieces & nephews, and 25 great nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Grant Welty, Sr 6/26/2017, her parents Rev. Willard T. Call, 10/2/1988 and mother Doris S. Call, 7/9/2002 of Brownsville and Dyersburg, and her brother Earl Call 9/16/2009 of Trenton.
