Ruth Orr Young

Ruth's Obituary Mrs. Ruth Orr Young, age 77, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Young was a retired RN who had worked for the VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN for several years. She and her family owned and raised Arabian horses. She had a great love for these majestic animals. She was a beloved wife, mother , grandmother and great-grandmother and that love was returned to her by her precious family and friends. She was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church for many years. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her parents: John Henry Orr and Loretta Lenora Deel Orr; her husband: Thomas Jackson Young; two sons: Timothy Young and Jonathan Young; a daughter: Patricia Young; two brothers: John Orr and James Orr; and a sister: Patricia Banks. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Brownsville Baptist Church, Brownsville, TN, with Rev. Bob Connerley officiating. Burial will follow in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Overton is survived by three sons: Thomas Young, Ripley, TN, Richard Young, Wichita, KS and Ronald Young, (Renita), Mercer, TN; Two daughters: Melinda Wools, (Richard), Brownsville, TN and Lenora Young, Ripley, TN; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
