Ruth Hooper

Mrs. Ruth Swain Hooper, 89 passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 in the Bells Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 3 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hooper is survived by a son: Robert L. Swain (Joyce) Lebanon, TN, two daughters: Shirley Warren Keltner, Brownsville, TN, Dorothy Stanley Wells (Robert) Bolivar, TN, a sister: Mary Sue Allen, Lexington, TN, seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Lawson Etley Swain, her parents: Clarence and Lela Pipkin Barnes, a son: Charles Dan Swain, three brothers: Albert Barnes, Noah Barnes and Samuel Barnes and three sisters: Alice Barnes, Ellen Barnes and Nettie Cash. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 624 Hatchie Ave., Brownsville, TN 38012.
