Ruby Crum Smith, age 80, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Pine Meadows Health Care and Rehabilitation Center of Bolivar, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Howell and Mr. Timmy Hooper officiating. Burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. A visitation for the Smith Family will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Mrs. Ruby was born on February 4, 1942, in Mercer, TN to the late James Earnest Crum and Hattie Corinne King Crum. She loved people and loved to hug them. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by them. She was always known as a jovial person. She loved cooking, flowers, playing the piano and singing. She was a talented seamstress and worked as an insurance agent for several years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Glenda Gail Fletcher; one son-in-law, Gary Wiggins and one step-son, Steven Smith. She is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Thomas Smith of Brownsville, TN; one son, Billy Kelley Jr. of Bolivar, TN, two daughters, Carol Malone (Michael) of Toone, TN and Barbara Wiggins of Bolivar, TN; three step-sons, Michael Smith, Alan Smith and Paul Smith, all from Texas; one brother, Tommy Crum of Memphis, TN. She leaves a legacy of five grandchildren: Gary Wiggins II, Michael Malone II, Melissa Kelley, Heather Wolford and Crystal Hostetler; 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Simer, Bryan Rimer, Larry Hooper, Timmy Hooper, Gary Wiggins II and Michael Malone II.
