Royce Burroughs

Mr. Royce B. Burroughs, age 92 passed away at his home in Nutbush, TN, Sunday, October 21, 2012. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Mr. Royce was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees and also help maintain the church cemetery. He was a farmer and also ran R.B. Burroughs Grocery Store in Nutbush for 48 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Kenneth Burdell Burroughs and Kathaleen Hooten Burroughs, his wife: Willie Mae Norman Burroughs and two brothers: Charles Burroughs and Bobby Burroughs. He is survived by his son: Billy Burroughs (Brenda), Nutbush, TN, four grandchildren: William Ray Burroughs, Jr. (Janna), Nutbush, TN, Bilinda Burroughs Baggett (Amo), Ripley, TN, Ken Burroughs (Melissa), Nutbush, TN and Kimberly Parrish (Kenny), Newbern, TN; six great grandchildren: Hunter Ray Burroughs, Jordan Nicole Burroughs, Joshua Alexander, Ryan Baggett, Kevin Baggett and Virginia Kaylee Burroughs and one great great grandchild: Briley Eugene Baggett.
