Rose Marie Lott

Rose Marie Lott, age 78, born on August 27, 1946, in Haywood County, departed this life peacefully on February 27, 2025, at her residence in Stanton, TN. She was surrounded by her family during her final moments, a testament to the love and bonds she cherished throughout her life. Particularly, her great grandchild, J.T. Martin, who provided special care in her final days, reflecting the deep connections she nurtured within her family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday March 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home located at 1280 S Dupree Ave, Brownsville, TN 38012. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Rose’s life and the joy she brought to all.

Rose enjoyed a fulfilling career at Sugar Creek Senior Living Community, where she was dedicated to her role in the dietary department. Her passion for helping others carried over to her personal life, where she had a multitude of interests and hobbies. Rose loved sewing and cooking, taking great joy in creating meals for her loved ones. An avid outdoor enthusiast, she could often be found fishing, cutting grass, gardening, or riding horses, embracing all that nature had to offer.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Terry Ann Burk (Darrell) of Stanton, TN, as well as many brothers and sisters who were dear to her heart. Rose’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jennifer Chapman (Ryan), Joanna Martin (Travis, Sr.), Presley Goodrich, Kendall Sweat (Jordan), Angel Stringfellow (Blake), and Rachel Goodrich, along with her treasured great-grandchildren: Ethen Marlar, J.T. Martin, Lillian Pinson, Gracelyn and Grayson Sweat, R.J. Stringfellow, Justice, Aaliyah, and Deangelo Trapps.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nannie Mae Kale Johnson, her husband, Sonny Lott, and her son, Shane Goodrich. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her, as she leaves behind a rich tapestry of fond memories and a legacy of love.
