Rosa's Obituary Mrs. Rosa Haywood, age 101, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in Haywood Park Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert W. Haywood II and Rosa Seymour Haywood; her first husband: Thomas Marshall; her second husband: Ryan Miller; brothers: Read Haywood, James Haywood, Robert W. Haywood III, and Seymour Haywood; and sisters: Mary Louise Adams and Nona Haywood. Mrs. Haywood was a direct descendent of Judge John Haywood, Haywood County's namesake. She was a Duchess of the Magna Carta and a Daughter of the American Revolution. Beginning her private law practice in 1941, she was a member of the Tennessee and Haywood County Bar Associations, and retired at age 90. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM, July 9, 2009 in Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Ray Dixon officiating. Mrs. Haywood is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
