Ronnie Earl Thomas

Ronnie Earl Thomas, age 73, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life on Monday, January 22, 2024.  Graveside Services will be conducted at the Providence Cemetery on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM with Bro. Richard Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. 

Ronnie was born on February 13, 1950, in Brownsville, TN to Earl Thomas and Mildred Williams Thomas. He worked as Surveyor for the State of Tennessee for 35 years.  He loved his profession and took great pride in his work for the state. He served in the United States Army National Guard, where he retired after 32 years. It was an honor for him to serve his country. For over ten years he had been a resident of Sugar Creek Senior Living Community where he was loved by the residents and staff for his warmth and outgoing personality.   He will be greatly missed by his friends. 

Ronnie is survived by one son, Stephen Thomas of Brownsville, TN; one brother, Donny E. Thomas (Phyllis) of Trenton, TN; his nephew, Donny Thomas, Jr., and great-nephews, Caleb Thomas and Jake Thomas.  

He was preceded in death by his father Earl Thomas; his mother, Mildred Williams Thomas, and one sister, Judy Thomas. 

Memorials may be given to Providence United Methodist Church, 10 Shaw Rd. Jackson, TN 38301. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
