Bro. Robert L. Wiley was the seventh child of nine born Mary 27, 1927 to the late Robert and Della Wiley in Brownsville, Tennessee. Bro. Robert died peacefully on February 10,
2017.
He dedicated his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses October 7, 1973. He served as an Elder in the Brownsville English Congregation. He served Jehovah forty-four years until he died.
He was educated through Haywood County Dunbar School System.
In his early years, he worked numeral jobs providing for his family. On July 4, 1963, he was employed by The Brownsville Police Department. He was employed for twenty-one years and retired as a Colonel in 1984. After retiring he began full time ministering as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was a Haywood County Bus Driver for thirty plus years of service.
He is preceded in death by daughter, Rebecca Wiley Morton; parents, Robert and Della Wiley; sisters, Dora Bynum, Johnnie Peet and Dorothy Wiley; brothers, Jake and Ben Wiley.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife of seventy-one years Addie Mae Wiley, five daughters, Alice Johnson of Milwaukee, WI, Dorothy and Carolina Wiley, Mary Jones of Brownsville, TN, Clara (Willie) Spears of Surprise, AZ; one son Albert (Waldine) Wiley of Brownsville, TN; one sister Annie (Willie) Davis of Brownsville, TN; two brothers, Brown Wiley of Brownsville, TN and John (Peggy) Willey of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Brownsville.
