Robert Jerry Mize, Jr.

Mr. Robert Jerry Mize, Jr., age 92, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Crestview Health Care. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Charleston Cemetery in Tipton County. A visitation will be held Friday, November 16, 2018, 10:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. in the First United Methodist Church. Jerry spent his last few years lovingly attending to the needs of Mary. His favorite title was “Grandbuddy,” a name given to him by his grandchildren. He was adored by his two children, their spouses, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who he encouraged and loved unconditionally. He was always willing and able to help others, a very humble man with a gentle spirit and a servant’s heart. He had the reputation of being able to fix anything that was in need of repair and was generous in lending his expertise to anyone in need. He loved family with all of his heart and they loved him back. May God be given the glory for a life well lived. Mr. Mize was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ione Mize, Sr., two brothers, Lawrence Mize, Henry Mize and one sister, Janie Haley. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary Mize, Brownsville, TN, one son, Alan Mize (Ginger), Brentwood, TN, one daughter, Cheryl Hughes (Bob), Delaware, Ohio, one sister, Marie Eubanks, California, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
