Robert Morris English, Sr.

Mr. Robert Morris English, Sr., age 79 of Brownsville, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. English was a fifth generation lifetime farmer and a Haywood County Commissioner for 24 years.  He was a proud member of the Ed Worsham Masonic Lodge #505.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mr. English was preceded in death by his parents:  Mr. Robert Rix English and Mrs. Alma Morris English; and two sisters:  Julia Ann and Mildred Joy English.

He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Jessie Cogbill English.  They would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on November 16, 2017; two sons:  R. Morris English, Jr. of Brownsville, TN and John Dawson English (Judy Brantley) of Munford, TN; and five grandchildren:  MaryHelen, Peyton, Brantley, Allie and R.M. English III and his loving and faithful caregivers, Sue Ann Barken and Tarsha Lax.
