Rita's Obituary
Mrs. Rita Phillips, age 55 of Brownsville, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Crestview Health Care and Rehab.
She was born May 24, 1962 in Fayette County to the late Morris Kelley and Pauline Austin Kelly.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Phillips of Brownsville; two sons, Nathan Phillips and wife Jessica of Medon and Kevin Phillips of Georgia; two daughters, Misty Sisco and husband Mike of Pocahontas, and Kristy Catlin and husband Michael of Arlington; eight sisters, Lucille Elrod of Whiteville, Dorothy Howard of Brownsville, Mattie Kellum of Whiteville, Bessie Elrod of Hillville, Marilyn Bruce of Hillville, Gloria Pittman of Hillville Martie Metzger of Hillville, and Mary Howard of Hillville; two brothers, Morris Kelley Jr. and Tommy Kelley both of Hillville. Other survivors include eleven grandchildren, Gage, Abbie, Matthew, Dalton, Eli, Rylee, Kaci, Ally, Ethan, Joslyn and Charlie.
Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Kelley, Thomas Morris Kelley, Ed Pittman, Bobby Joe Phillips, Terry Elrod, Richard Phillips and Cody Kelley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips were conducted Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Hodge, officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Laconia. The Phillips family received friends on Tuesday at the Brownsville Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
