Rickey's Obituary Mr. Robert Rickey Austin age 60 of Stanton, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born June 30, 1957 in Haywood County to the late Robert Marion Austin and Etta Mae Lashley Austin McDowell. Mr. Austin was a general supervisor at Fossett Paving Company. He was known for his smile and hilarious sense of humor. An amazing and loving man, his generous and sweet spirit is without a doubt, his legacy that will be revered for years to come. With his parents preceding him in death, his sister, Linda Cannon passed away less than one day later as now they are together in Heaven. Survivors include his wife Vickie Qualls Austin of Stanton; son, Robert Rickey Austin, II and wife Chrissy of Brownsville; three daughters, Victoria Paige Maddox and husband Cody of Brownsville, Amy Rae McNabb and husband Tim of Somerville and Stacey Austin Crane and husband Mike of Memphis; step-son, Dennis Rose of Brownsville; step-daughter, Tracy Nichols and husband Bryant of Brownsville; three sisters and two brothers, Jessie Kirkland of Somerville, Sandra Goodman of Whiteville, Caron Shackleford of Memphis, Billy E. Austin of Whiteville and Ronnie Ray Austin of Southaven, MS. Other survivors include fourteen grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are, Bill Austin, Billy Austin, Rob Fossett, Stephen Pace, Sonny Maddox, Carlton DeFoor, Robert Hardister and Cody Maddox. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be David Henderson. Funeral services for Mr. Austin will be conducted Monday, October 9, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. David Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The Austin family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Brownsville Funeral Home, 107 S.
