Pearl's Obituary Pearl Perry Gordon, age 90, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2014, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital located in Jackson, TN. Mrs. Gordon was most often referred to as Ms. Pearl but her grandchildren called her Pearl Mama. Ms. Pearl was a feisty, sassy, and hardworking lady who enjoyed working outdoors in her yard and garden, pruning her roses, sharing recipes, decorating cakes, and preparing as well as eating good food. After retirement she enjoyed oil painting. Ms. Pearl loved to hear people laugh as much as she enjoyed laughing. She was always very motivated and loved her family very much. After her child bearing years, Ms. Pearl worked as a seamstress at Wells Lamont for 18 years and later managed the Bakery and Deli at IGA and other local grocery stores for many years. Even after retiring, she continued to work part-time with various food demonstration companies. Mrs. Gordon is survived by two daughters: Betty (Fred) Hodge of Milan, TN and Judy (Clay) Rhodes of Covington, TN; one son: Mac Perry of Brownsville, TN; one sister: Sally Hunley of Milan, TN; three grandchildren: Greg (Michelle) Sills, Perrylin (Tim) Austill; Ron (Charisse) Gay; and five great-grandchildren: Breanne and Kyle Sills; Rob and Alyssa Gay and Hunter Austill; Visitation for Mrs. Gordon will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the chapel of Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes located in Brownsville, TN; Funeral services for Mrs. Gordon will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes, officiated by Bro. Larry Sweeney and Mr. Andy Austin. Burial will follow in the Garden of Saviour at Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs .Gordon was preceded in death by her parents: James and Della Knox; a sister: Mary Knox Reasons; four brothers: Harvey, Marvin, Edris and Thomas Knox; the father of her children and husband of 45 years, Mr. William Perry and her latest husband, Mr. Roger Gordon.
