Pearl's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Pearl Smith English Pearl English went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 31, 2009. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard English, Sr., her beloved daughter Judy English Latham, and sixteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services were conducted by the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Home at Eureka United Methodist Church followed by her burial in the Forked Deer Cemetery. Mrs. English was a graduate of Haywood High School and West Tennessee Business College. She worked as a book keeper for many years and farmed along side her husband for over 50 years. She was a longtime member of Eureka United Methodist Church where she served God and her community for many, many years. "Miss Pearl" as she was so lovingly called by many who knew her, was a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She was known for her hospitality, kindness, and unconditional loving spirit. She is survived by her son Rickey English and his wife Joy of Brownsville; son-in-law Jim Latham of Mocksville, NC; two sisters: Evelyn White of Brownsville and Gennieve Zinner of Lutz, FL; five grandchildren: Sherry Wilson, Tanya Castleman, Lance English, Amanda Jones and Jessica Snell Frye. She was also survived by four great grandchildren: Brandon Angell, Kendall Castleman, Aubrey Frye and Cooper Castleman.
