Paul's Obituary Mr. Robert Paul Edwards, age 91 of Bells, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 5, 1925 in Bells, to the late Casey Edwards and Mary Pigue Edwards. He retired from Pictsweet and attended the Church of Christ. Mr. Edwards served our country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Edwards and Mike Edwards; daughter, Sandra Edwards Ward; one sister and three brothers, Margie Williams, James Edwards, John Adams Edwards, and Billy Joe Edwards. Survivors include his wife, Nell Gibbons Edwards of Bells; two sons, Vince Edwards of Big Sandy, Terry Hardin and wife Mia of Alamo; three daughters, Teresa Dupree and husband Jerry of Jackson, Debra Porter and husband Andy of Bells, and Janice Singletary of Bells; two sisters, Harriet Nanney and Janice Gaines. Other survivors include several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are James Raines, David Hanners, David Allen Palmer, Blake Singletary, Kevin Edwards, Donald Nanney, and Walter Yearwood. Honorary pallbearers will be JC Taylor, Roy Taylor, Ray Nanney, and Chris Edwards. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Paul Edwards will be conducted Friday November 11, 2016, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Walter Yearwood and Bobby Rawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleview Cemetery. The Edwards family will receive friends on Thursday at the Bells Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The family has requested that any memorials be directed to N.O.A.H or to the charity of the donor’s choice, in memory of Mr. Edwards.
