Paul James Coulston

Paul James Coulston, age 90, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital of Huntingdon, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Rushing officiating. Burial to follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery of Mason, TN. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at 1:00 P.M.

Mr. Coulston was born in Tipton County, TN on August 22, 1934, to the late William Luther Coulston and the late Zora Mae Webb Coulston. He was self-employed doing construction for most of his life. He was a dedicated and devoted man to his trade. He could really point that finger and tell somebody what to do! His interest included cooking and gardening, which means nobody was going hungry when he was around. He enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. He will always be remembered for his honesty, integrity, and generosity to all who knew him. He was also preceded in death by two sons: Paul James Coulston, Jr and Paul Todd Coulston; six brothers: R.L. Coulston, L.J. Coulston, David Carl Coulston, W.L Coulston, Bobby Coulston and Lawrence Dennis Coulston; two sisters: Velma Reimert and Sue Davisson.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 72 years: Betty Ann Williams Coulston of McKenzie, TN; one son: Terry Coulston (Pat) of McKenzie, TN; one daughter: Teresa Abernathy (Dennis) of McKenzie, TN; two brothers: Earl Coulston and Donnie Coulston; He leaves a legacy of two grandchildren: Terry Coulston, Jr. (Heather) of Cleveland, TN, Lisa Arnold (Lance) of Brownsville, TN; and five great-grandchildren: Madison Carnahan (Blake), Kaedan Sweat, Ben Coulston, Sam Coulston, Nate Coulston; and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Keeling Baptist Church, c/o Anita Honeycutt, 16675 Hwy 70 West, Stanton, TN 38069

Serving as pallbearers are Lance Arnold, Dennis Abernathy, Terry Coulston, Jr., Blake Carnahan, Greg Coulston, Mark Coulston, Cody Bell and Casey Komoromi.
