Nelson's Obituary Mr. Nelson Hill Bickerstaff, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 7, 2013, in the Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Eugene Bickerstaff and Hessie Elkins Bickerstaff; a brother: John Harris Bickerstaff; four sisters: Florence Alton-Cozart, Lorine Moore, Gertie Ellington, and Doris Taylor. Funeral services will be held at the Brownsville-Bells Funeral Homes Chapel of Bells, TN, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 10:00 A.M., with Dr. John Farrar officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bickerstaff was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in World War II. He retired from Co-op in Jackson, TN, and became an avid vegetable gardner. Mr. Bickerstaff is survived by his loving wife: Edna Earl Marlowe Bickerstaff, of Bells, TN; two sons: Tommy Bickerstaff (Roxanne) of Gadsden, TN, and Ricky Bickerstaff (Donna) of AL; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
