Nellie's Obituary Mrs. Nellie Louise Dixon, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the Hendersonville Medical Center of Hendersonville, TN. She was born on October 29, 1918 in Ludlow, MS to the late Leon Hunt Poindexter and Sally Alice Cox Poindexter. Mrs. Dixon was a member of the Broadway Baptist Church of Maryville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Mr. Graves Dixon and 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Mrs. Dixon is survived by three sons: Amory Eugene Yelverton of Byhalia, MS, Edward Lynn Dixon and his wife, Diane of Maryville, TN and William Thomas Dixon and his wife, Brenda of Hendersonville, TN. She leaves a legacy of 5 grandchildren: Bryan Dixon, Scott Dixon, Ashley Hanah, Hunter Dixon and Stevon Yelverton and 8 great-grandchildren: Nick Dixon, Samantha Dixon, Ryan Dixon, Bradley Yelverton, Alexis Yelverton, Ella Grace Harrell, Trey Hannah and Rylee Grace Yelverton. She also leaves a host of friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Nellie Louise Dixon will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10 AM, at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Bro. Ray Dixon officiating. Brownsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Dixon family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
