Mrs. Miriam Ruth Stephens Kirby, 97 passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 in the Bells Nursing Home, in Bells TN. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2009 in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Robbins and Rev. Phil Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in Allen Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2009, in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her husband: J.C. Kirby; a son-in-law: Bill N. Powell: and a grandson: Christopher N. Powell. She is survived by a daughter: Bettye K. Powell, Brownsville, TN: three grandchildren, Kirby O. Powell and his wife, Susie, and Mark S. Powell and his wife, Cathy, both of Jackson, TN, and B. Brannon Powell, Arlington, TN, nine great-grandchildren, Christy Powell Byrd, Nash Powell and his wife, Ginger, J.P. Powell and his wife Stephanie, Currie Powell, Jackson Powell, Jordan Powell, Peyton Gray Powell, Alex Powell and Mia Powell, and one great-great-grandchild, Aidan Byrd.
