Minnie's Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Pearl Lonon age 87 of Gadsden, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the home of her son.
She was born April 5, 1929 in Finger, TN to the late Franklin Hampton and Francis Fullerton Hampton. Mrs. Lonon was a homemaker and member of Liberty Hall Full Gospel Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty- nine years, Hershel Ray “Buddy” Lonon in 1994, two sons, Faron Lonon and Franklin Lonon as well as six brothers and six sisters.
Mrs. Lonon is survived by four sons, Bobby Lonon and wife Sue of Bells, Harold Lonon and wife Patty of Jackson, Douglas Lonon and wife Patricia of Jackson and John Lonon and wife Christie of Gadsden: Three daughters, Brenda James and husband David of Jackson, Sherry Plodzien and husband Albert of Maury City and Lisa Rinks and husband Chris of Jackson. Other survivors include sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Branson Simpson, Donnie Hampton, Lee Hampton, Terry Tucker, David James, Jonathon Lonon and Michael Lonon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Pearl Lonon will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Liberty Hall Full Gospel Church with Bells Funeral Home in charge of services. Pastor Walter Manley will officiate with burial to follow in Oakview Memorial Park. The Lonon family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
