Milton Roger's Obituary
Mr. Milton Roger Cobb age 72, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home.
He was born August 1, 1944 in Haywood County to the late William McKinley Cobb and Helen Patterson Cobb. He was proud to have worked at Bells Hardware in the family business. An entrepreneur, Mr. Cobb owned and operated several businesses over the years such as KIMCO, MRC Inc., Cobb Construction, and Walnut Hill Estates. He served as a volunteer fireman for the Bells Fire Departments for over forty years and was active in the Jaycees for many years. Mr. Cobb was a member of Bells First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William “Billy” Cobb.
Survivors include two daughters, Renee Howell of Bells and Kimberly Cole (Alan) of Gadsden; son, Taylor Cobb (Emily) of Bells; loving fiancée, Donna Clement of Gadsden; brother, Danny W. Cobb (Judy) of Newbern; sister Joan Climer (Hinton) of Bells; sister in law, Pauline Cobb of Bells. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Layne, Hunter, Addisyn, Jayla, Lynden and Deonna.
Serving as pallbearers are Phil Perkins, Layne Earnheart, Hunter Howell, Calvin “Cadillac” Wade, Jason Pigue, Daniel Pigue, Gomer Powell and William Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Webb, David Sherrod, Sr., Joe Williams, Ross Via and James Harris Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be directed to N.O.A.H. in Memory of Mr. Cobb.
Funeral services for Mr. Roger Cobb will be conducted Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary of Bells First Baptist Church with the Pastor, Bro. Dennis Davis officiating. Bells Funeral Home is in charge of services. Burial will follow in Belleview Cemetery. The Cobb family will receive friends on Monday at the Bells First Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
