Michael's Obituary
Brownsville, TN – Michael Wayne Thomason, age 63 of Brownsville, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born on May 29, 1952 in Brownsville, TN to the late Samuel F. Thomason and Beulah G. Austin Thomason. Mr. Thomason was a devoted family man and grandfather. He was self employed in the home improvement business most of his adult life, working in the surrounding areas of Brownsville and Jackson. He was active with Westside Church of Christ. He loved to fish and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Bessie Thomason Norwood.
Mr. Thomason is survived by his two sons: Michael Lance Thomason and his wife Lacy of Olive Branch, MS, Tyler Nash Thomason and his wife Tabatha of Gates, TN; one daughter: Christy Thomason Williams and her husband Earbie of Brownsville, TN; two brothers: Samuel “Sonny” Thomason of MS and Edward Thomason and his wife Pam of Brownsville, TN; four sisters: Barbara Robinson and her husband James of MS, Mary Louise Tucker and Evoynne Mathias, both of Brownsville, TN, Sylvia Hart of Alamo, TN and Marty Fite of Jackson, TN. He leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren: Michael Williams, Lizzie Williams, Charlie Thomason, Kayleigh Thomason, Maddie Thomason, Sawyer Thomason and Levi Thomason and host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Teddy Keith Norwood, Holden Ledford, Bobby Goodman, Chuck “Monkey” Goodman, Matt Thomason and Shawn Norwood.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomason will be conducted on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Westside Church of Christ with Minister Larry Sweeney officiating. Brownsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. The Thomason family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in the Chapel of Brownsville Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Westside Church of Christ.
