Melba Brasher's Obituary
Mrs. Melba Louise Brasher Johnson age 87 of Lexington, formerly of Decaturville, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born December 26, 1929 to the late George William Brasher and Eloise Lacey Brasher. Mrs. Johnson was a retired teacher and member of Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband John Johnson; two daughters, Pamela L. Fleming North (Tom) and Patricia S. Fleming; two step-daughters, Janet L. Johnson Brown (Michael) and Loretta S. Johnson Kelley (David); two step-sons, James R. Johnson and Robert L. Johnson; brother, Fred Brasher (Helen); two sisters, Mary L. Fortin and Betty Tucker (Rick). Other survivors include three grandchildren, Jason Bryant, Ahsley Stafford Logan and Kelly Elam Berthold as well as ten great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Johnson will be conducted Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Decaturville with the pastor, Bro. David Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery. The Johnson family will receive friends on Sunday at the Church from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.
