Mary Claire Simmons

Mrs. Mary Claire Simmons, age 81, passed away at her home Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Brownsville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. in the Union Grove United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2017, 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. in the Union Grove United Methodist Church. Mary Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Simmons, her parents, Clifford “Son” and Mabel Hawkins Dinwiddie and her daughter, Donna Berry Maxwell. She is survived by her son, Stan Berry (Patricia), Indianola, MS, two sisters, Joyce Flack, Trenton, TN, and Nancy Warren, Forked Deer, TN, four grandchildren, Johnson Berry, Hayes Berry, Philip Berry and Shannon Walters, and six great grandchildren, Gage Berry, Mason Berry, Swazye Berry, Watts Berry, Lucas Hensley and Nathan Hensley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Carrie McCage, 2305 Key Corner Rd., Brownsville, TN 38012 or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
