Mary Shealy Williams

Mary Shealy Williams, age 86, long-time Brownsville resident, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, TN.

Funeral Services to honor her life will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Bro. J.P. Barden officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Brownsville Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, TN.

Mary Williams was born on July 1, 1938, to Archie Shealy and Esther Mulkey Shealy. She retired from AT&T having worked as an Administrative Assistant for numerous years. Her faith was strong, and she was a Christian lady who loved the Lord and served faithfully at New Vision Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and jewelry. She spent much of her pastime playing Bingo and Farkle. Her philosophy of life was “everything has a place, and everything in its place.”

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Williams; one brother, Archie Shealy, Jr. and one sister, Hazel Shealy Stevens. She is survived by her nephew, Andrew “Andy” Shealy, and two nieces, Judith Shealy Brummett and Tracee Stevens Martinez.

Pallbearers for the service are David Williams, Max Williams, Jake Williams, Tommy Robinson, Timmy Williams and Will Moss.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the New Vision Baptist Church, P.O. Box 324, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
